Default English expression: "Starry-eyed"

Dear tearcher,
Can you explain this english expression taken out of the song: "Preview of Paradise"; the expression is "Starry-eyed".
The sentence is as follows: Now I am starry-eyed, for with you by my side. Can you please tell me what this means?
Many thanks

To me someone who is starry-eyed is exceptionally happy - The bride walked down the aisle, all starry-eyed with joy.
