Are these correct? What do these mean?
1. He could go there. (Is this correct? 'Could' is more polite than 'can', but if I use 'could' is it a conditional sentence?) Eg.:
2. He can go there. (This is correct, if I use 'could' is it incorrect? Do I have to make it into a conditional sentence?)
2. He would go there.
3. He should go there.
There is not enough context to interpret all the possible meanings of these sentences, Jack. However, as they stand:
1. He could go there. = it is possible or it was permissable for him to go there.
2. He can go there. = it is possible or permissible for him to go there.
2. He would go there. = it was his habit or it is his willfulness to go there.
3. He should go there. = it is a good idea for him to go there.
Thanks.
So this is correct?
1. He would go there. (How come this doesn't have to be conditional?)
2. He will go there.
What do #1 and #2 mean?
What do these mean?
3. I would hate to miss the show.
4. I will hate to miss the show.
