no relation?

Dear Teachers,

I read this from The Decline and Fall of Practically Everybody by Will Cuppy:

"Hamilcar had three sons, Hannibal, Hasdrubal, and Mago, and two daughters, one of whom married Hasdrubal Pulcher, or Hasdrubal the Handsome, no relation."

What does "no relation" mean here? That this Hasdrubal the Handsome has no relation with Hamilcar's son Hasdrubal?

When a writer appends 'no relation' s/he means that in spite of the name the person alluded to is not related to some other person of the same name, either just mentioned (as in the Hasdrubal case) or simply commonly known. For example, on my bookshelf there is a book published in 1955 called The Art of Singing by William Shakespeare (no relation).
