Phrasing of prose

Hello,

I was talking with some work collegues about general english vocab and terms and I am now confused. I was always under the impression that onomatopoeia was term used when reading prose with a certain rhythm but have since discovered its real meaning. Can you please let me know what word does describe the thing I am trying to think of?

Well, its syllable count is close, and its initial vowel is somewhat silimar. The term you're looking for is alliteration: repetition of the same letter or sound.

EX: cool, calm, and collected
