Default a new game

Hi, are these sentences ok? is there any difference according to native speakers?

1) I played my new computer game for the first time
2) I tried out my new computer game
3) I tried my hand at my new game
4) I tested my new computer game

Which one would a native speaker use in the following context?
For my birthday I got a new computer game; In the afternnon I played playstation games, so (sentence 1, 2 , 3 or 4).

Thanks Rip

In the context that you ask about I would usually use 1 or 2. I like number 2 the most.

You could also say,
I took my new computer game for a spin.
Or I broke in my new computer game. (Break in means to make something more comfortable...usually used with clothes...like breaking in a new pair of shoes).
