Health is an adjective. I think you just made a typo, but I didn't want learners to be confused.
Again, I turn to www.m-w.com for this usage note:
synonyms healthy , sound , wholesome , robust , hale , well mean enjoying or indicative of good health. healthy implies full strength and vigor as well as freedom from signs of disease healthy family>. sound emphasizes the absence of disease, weakness, or malfunction sound heart>. wholesome implies appearance and behavior indicating soundness and balance wholesome glow>. robust implies the opposite of all that is delicate or sickly robust little boy>. hale applies particularly to robustness in old agehale at the age of eighty>. well implies merely freedom from disease or illness well person>.
As a matter of actual usage, I think you'll find that "healthy food" is used more than "healthful food" by a wide margin.
