In this modern city, stress is a part of our life. No matter you are young or old, male or female. Everyone got some degree of stress. Some got more. Some got less. Different people use different ways of reducing stress. Some are good. Some are bad. For instance, some use drugs, alcohol, gambling etc. Some do exercise, reading, watching movies etc. For me, I like to listen to music and chat with people to reduce my stress.
Music can be very noisy and overwhelming like rock and heavy metal music, but if you like classical music, you will find that music can be very relaxing. I usually listen to classical music when I feel stressful and nervous because it doesn’t only relax your body. It also relaxes my mind. I can totally forget the source of stress from my life like the work or the study. Music is a stressless world. It takes you away from this hustle and bustle of world and takes you to a tranquil and peaceful world. You don’t have to rely on drugs or alcohol to get rid of this hustle and bustle of world. They don’t help you to reduce the stress, instead they just give you more stress because they don’t clear your mind, they just knock out your brain to forget everything temporarily. When you sober up, you will find out that the stress is still here but the time is fewer and you get more stress. Music is different. It can relax your brain and every nerve in your body and clear your mind. Music can also give you inspiration. You may know how to tackle a difficult task which you couldn’t know how to tackle after listening to music.
Sometimes, stress is out of your hand, e.g. stress comes from your relationship with your family and friends and also from your emotion. You can not control it by yourself alone. You need someone to help you and to support you. That’s why I like to talk to people when I am stressful. They can analyse your problem and give you their precious opinion about what you should do. They will also soothe you and give you support. Stress is like your enemy. Sometimes you can not fight with it by yourself alone. You need company to help you to fight with it. With their support, you feel more confident and powerful to fight with the stress. Without them, you feel weak and feeble and you will be defeated by stress.
There are no best ways of reducing stress because different people have different ways of reducing stress and they work for different people. Some like reading. Some like sports. Some like travelling to reduce their stress but the bottom line is they don’t harm your body or ruin your life like drugs, alcoloh, gambling etc. Other things which can help that person to reduce his stress would be his best way of reducing stress.
