Default Would / Will

Are these correct? If not, why? What do these mean?

1. Why will he do that? (Does this mean in the future?)
2. Why would he do that? (Does this have to be conditional? Does this mean in the future as well but with more possibilities?)

3. Why would he do that if he is my dad. (If this is wrong, why?)
4. Why would he do that if he was my dad.

4. Why will he do that if he is my dad.
5. Why will he do that if he was my dad.

What do these mean?
6. I would call them but it would take too long.
7. I would call them but it will take too long.
8. I would call them. (Is this incorrect? It needs to be conditional?)

9. I think he would know.
10. I think he will know.

Default Re: Would / Will

Could someone help me with the post above too? Thanks.

I don't get these. What do these mean? What's the point of using 'would' vs 'will'?
1. That would be nice of you to get another chair.
2. That will be nice of you to get another chair.

3. We will like to go.
4. We would like to go.
