I'd like to make/take a copy in your copy machine.
Is it fine, please? Which verb, please?
Thanks
A copy machine produces a product. It makes a copy.
is the sentence fine, please?
thanks.
I think it`s - I`d like to make a copy in your copy machine .Because I recently use a sentence like this one there.
I'd like to make (produce, create, have) a copy on your machine.
I'd like to take your picture.
The two phrases can have a subtly different meaning:
Please make a copy: for me, for yourself, or for anyone else.
Please take a copy: for yourself. Usually the copy has already been made, but if it has not, make one.
PS. This disinction holds most strongly when you are asked. But you ask to make a copy, as everyone else has pointed out.
