Difference?
What is the difference between ‘a grocery store’ and ‘a convenient store’? I heard both terms in an American movie, and am wondering what the difference is.
Thanks.

Re: Difference?
A grocery store sells food.
A convenience store usually sells food, mostly junk food and soft drinks, but more importantly small items -- pens, paper, aspirin, postage stamps, cigarettes, telephone calling cards, magazines -- and at hours when larger and more specialized stores are closed.
