What's the difference between "Young people" and "Teenager"

What is the age group of "young people" and what is that of "Teenager"?

If possible I also want to know others such as "adolescents"and "youth".

I am always confused with these words.

They tend to be used as synonyms. However, Teenagers are young people whose age is between 13 years and 19 years. Adolescents are young people who are in a particular maturation stage between puberty and maturity. Youth means young.

Because children's social age is increasing, some people and journalists use an invented new jocular word - 'tweenager' to refer to people from an advanced 8/9 to 12.
