| Disclaimer 1: I'm not a teacher. Disclaimer 2: I speak American English; Australians may use different words than me. I wash dishes in my kitchen sink using a dishrag, dish soap (or dish detergent), and hot water. After I rinse the dishes, I put them on a dish rack; if necessary, I dry them with a dish towel. I don't wear rubber gloves (or latex gloves) when washing dishes, but some people do. More fortunate people have a machine called a dishwasher that will do the dirty work for them. When I mop the floor, I use a rag. The thing with a stick is called a mop, of course. When I wash clothes, I call the clothes I am washing "dirty clothes" or "laundry". I wash them with laundry detergent (or laundry soap); sometimes I also add bleach. I don't kill insects by spraying them; usually I use a fly swatter. Sometimes, though, I spray mosquito repellent on myself. |
