| Past. "Passed" is the past tense and past participle of the verb "to pass". "Past" can be a noun (meaning "the time gone by"), an adjective (meaning "in the past"), a preposition (meaning "by and beyond, in place, time, or circumstance"), or an adverb (with the same meaning as the preposition). You want the preposition. "Past" and "passed" are probably the same word etymologically, but the modern language distinguishes them clearly. |
