Are these sentences correct:

1-I won't stay till the end of the tournament. I'll just wait to see how some of the matches end and I'll go home.

2-I won't stay till the end of the tournament. I'll just wait to see how a few of the matches end and I'll go home.

You could also join them into single sentences.

a more natural phrasing might be:

I'm not going to stay for the whole tournament. I just want to see how a few of the matches go before heading home.

or

I'm not planning to stay for the whole tournament, I just want to see how the first few matches go.

sticking with your original construction:
"I'll just wait to see how a few of the matches end and THEN I'll go home."
