Hi
Can we make a record in twelve weeks, which is all the time we had, or have we become so spoilt by endless record budgets that we need a year to make an album.
--- What does he mean by saying: endless record budgets?
Does it mean that someone was paying them money all the time, before they recorded an album?
or have we become so spoilt by endless record budgets that we need a year to make an album.
I think it means:
or have we become so spoiled by having to deal with all that on-going financial red tape (in the record business) that we need such a long time to make the album.
Hi
What other word instead of "spoilt" can I use here?
I think that in the phrase "endless record budgets" it is the budget that is endless (I would have said "unlimited record budgets" for clarity). An unlimited amount of financing for the production of a record album would allow the artist a year or more to produce an album. This would, of course, spoil an artist.

Here's how I read that quote to mean:
Can we make a record in a short time, or are our hands tied with all this BS budget stuff so that it will require a year to complete the album?
Re: Spoilt
Many times you are going to see the "t" for the "ed" on this site.![]()
