Default Opinion of/Opinion on ?

I had a question...when using a sentence like this
"Zinsser's opinion of/on college life today"

Would you use opinion on college life or opinion of college life...

I know for most topics you use On, but wouldn't the use of 'Of' be appropriate?

Thank you.

'Of'can be used, but it depends on how detailed the opinion is.
