I couldn't quite get what you mean - are you saying if Leslie's business was brisker(meaning faster or ??), Geishawhelk could have kissed all four members of the Beatles?

Sorry about my convoluted way of saying things, Wordlover.

I used "brisk" in the sense it's used in this sentence:

In this bad economy, pawnshops are doing a brisk business. (i.e. they are very busy.)

So when I said, "Too bad Leslie's business wasn't any brisker," I meant that it was too bad Leslie's place wasn't busier with more customers waiting to be serviced.

The implication was that Geishawhelk would have had more lips to kiss. Of course Geishawhelk is going to come back and insist that that would have meant kissing more cheeks not lips, but that is all right.

I hope I was able to clarify this matter for you, but please don't ask me why "serviced" was written in italic above. That would be too embarrassing to explain.
