nobody He was talking to nobody.
Can't this sentence mean two things:
1-He wasn't talking to anybody. He wasn't talking at all. Maybe he was whistling.
2-He was talking, but to an imaginary being, to somebody that didn't exist outside his deluded mind.
Could one use "He wasn't talking to anybody." for 2?
