Dear teachers,
Please start from my post "past perfect 1" to understand my point.
Same questions as in post 3.
I don't understand why a) should be correct and not b) and d) since the fact of complaining happened
before the ten mile walk. (do I need a hyphen here?)
a) Before we had walked ten miles, he complained of sore feet.
b)
Before we
walked ten miles he
had complained of sore feet.
d) He
had complained of sore feet
before we
walked ten miles.
Same question as in post 3 again, if the following sentences are correct, why shouldn't b) and d) ?
e)
Before he
complained of getting sore feet, we
had walked ten miles.
f)
After we
had walked ten miles, he
complained of getting sore feet.
I must be wrong but I really don't see why!
HELP! Pleeeeease.
