Right or wrong sentence
I am learning English. I wonder if anyone could tell me if this sentence is correct and why?
"They have repaired the car yesterday."
Thank you.

You're close. It's either:
"They have repaired the car." Have repaired is the present perfect tense. Although the car was damaged, it is now repaired. So: Have they repaired the car yet? Yes, they have. Because it's a present tense, yesterday does not fit.
"They repaired the car yesterday." Repaired is just simple past tense, so yesterday fits.
