I think this is what you mean: The students who have proved themselves to be proficient in English, can be taught other subjects through the medium of English.

Not a teacher opinion.
I think the sentence should be like : In this school, the students who have proved themselves to have high proficiency in English, can be taught other subjects in English.

Well, we will have to wait to see what the OP means. We don't know what "this school" is.
If the students is already proficient in English, then that student will succeed in other subject.
