Breakdown or Downturn?
Hi!
I am afraid I need some help here to decide which words above can be used in the sentence:
We have been really badly hit by the downturn/breakdown in the economy.
Tens of thousands of workers have been rocketed this year.
Unfortunatelly, I am unable to decide which word is likely to go into the sentnece. I have taken the sentence from Innovations course book (Advanced level).
If anyone can help me I would be glad!
