I am writing to ask this question.
Best among paths is the eight-fold path: right view, right intensions, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. This path will lead to wisdom, ethics, and awareness.
I know the eight-fold path here means the things followed this phrase but how to explain the "eight-fold path" literally?
Thanks very much:)
Re: "eight-fold path"
The eight-fold path has eight parts to it. That seems to me to be the literal interpretation. (Am I missing something?)
