Since you are comparing two levels of writing competence (i.e., correctly vs. incorrectly) the comparative is called for. Also, please note the inserted comma is also preferred here (some might argue required here) since the sentence inverts the two clauses "normal" positioning: It will be easier to speak fluently (end of clause one - an independent clause) if we can write correctly (end of clause two - a dependent clause). | Hi jayan12, Charlie's point is well taken here. I made the mistake of isolating the subsequent clauses from the beginning of your sentence: "I always believe ..." While "I always believe ..." is not entirely incorrect, "I have always believed ..." appears to be just what you are trying to express: i.e., an axiom that you have always held as your guide.
