In this case, both are fine.
Nearby usually refers to physical location. Near refers to anything, including physical location.
The shop is near.
The shop is nearby.
Nearby can mean close to you. Near can be close to anything.
The shop is nearby.
The shop is near the train station.
Nearby can also mean close to something else you're discussing.
It's a beautiful city, and there's an airport nearby.
It's a beautiful city, and there's an airport near to it.
Nearby is usually about physical closeness. Near can be about other kinds of closeness.
Midnight is near.
It's a song near to my heart.
And there's nearly, which means almost.
It's nearly midnight.
I nearly made it to the shop.
It weighs nearly a ton.
