Default Underline the long a words.

" Underline the long a words." is used as follows:

- Write each sentence. Add the apostrophes. Underline the long a words.

1. Shes right to say that.
==> She's right to say that.

Then, what do I need to do?
"Underline the long a words" means?

Does "the long" mean " a long sound"?

Thanks.

Default Re: Underline the long a words.

The words with the vowel sound of a long A.

mad versus made
lad versus laid

The second in the pairs above have the long A sound.

Shes right to say that.

Which word had the vowel sound like the A in made or laid?
