Default roll of names

Hi

We did the roll of names of the dead and missing during half-time at the Superbowl in February 2002. We played "MLK" but the list was so long it was still scrolling through for most of "Where The Streets Have No Name".

1. Does it say that during the half-time they prepared a list of names of the dead and were reading it while singing two songs.

OR

2. Does it say that before the half-time they prepared the list of the dead and when there was a half-time they started playing and reading these names throughout two songs.

I would say it's the second.

We (what does "did" mean?? read? showed?viewed?) the Roll of Names of the Dead and Missing during half-time at the Superbowl in February 2002. We played "MLK," but the list was so long it was still scrolling through for most of "Where The Streets Have No Name".

The list was so long that it took the time for both songs to play.

Hi

I've got no idea what "did" means. This is what the text says. Since it was a live performance I would say they were reading them.

"Did" in this case means "showed." They scrolled the list of names onscreen during the songs, much like the credits of a movie or TV show run onscreen the end.
