Default Terminology question.

Hello, I am trying to find the name of the term for this English literary device. An adjective has the same first letter as the noun it is describing. Examples:

1. The beautiful ballerina
2. The flat fountain
3. The round radish

I have check the glossary and found some terms that describe the adjective – noun relationship, but not the first letter portion.

Thank you for your time,
-Brad Dickson

I think this is called alliteration.

use of the same consonant at the beginning of each stressed syllable in a line of verse; "around the rock the ragged rascal ran"

I dont know if this can only be used for poems though.

heidita,

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

I will pass this information to Dr. Jenkins and Dr. Kwan, my astute drinking colleagues and mentors.

Cheers,
