green dog
Dear teachers and friends...
Could you shed some light on this?
whether someone call someone else a green dog due to his/her behaviour, what does it mean?
He's such a green dog!
Thanks

Re: green dog
Never met this, but green is traditionally the colour of jealousy or innocence.

hmm... interesting, I know the blue colour is related to sadness, as in:
I am feeling blue today.
so, would it be possible to write a sentence using 'green' related to jealousy or innocence?
As for the green dog, I guess it has something to do with innocence, no idea why they used a dog to describe people, maybe because of the dog's obedience. Very awkward sentence, as awkward as a green dog.
Thanks

Re: green dog
"She showed every sign of green-eyed jealousy"
Another possibility - that "he" is ecologically hyperaware/active.

Re: green dog
Yet another definition of "green" is naive, inexperienced, a novice.
"The drill sergeant's job is to turn a bunch of green recruits into soldiers."
