I am trying to write a letter of apology to my inlaws. I am better doing something like this face to face or over the phone, but this is not possible at the moment so a letter would be better but I am unsure of how to go about it. Please could I have a template or similar to get me on my way?

Think what you would say face to face, and then write that in your letter. If you want it checked, post it for comment.

Anglika is right. There is no template. My advice: write it, wait a day or two, and reread it. You'll probably want to change it.
