Default "I'm going to kip" means that 'I'm going to sleep'. right?

    My dear and respected teachers,
1 : "What subject exam did you take today" "I took English exam today". correct?
2 : "If you lose your first love, just imagine that you have lost everything". correct?
3 : "I'm going to kip" means that 'I'm going to sleep'. right?

OK I'm not a teacher but no answer yet so here I come LOL

    1. I think exam is countable. I had a test today

    2. The second sentence isn't quite right. Is the chance for losing it high?
If it isn't I think you'd better use 'would' in it.

    3. The third one is unusual. I've never heard a sentence like that before.

    According to AudioEnglish.net
KIP is used a verb is very rare

    Say:
    I took an English exam.

    or

    I took my English exam.

Yes. (That is certainly good English if not good advice.)

You would usually hear it as "get some kip" in the same way as "get some sleep". If sleep, which is usually a verb, can be used as a noun, then I guess 'kip' could be too. "get some shut eye" etc.

I've seldom -if ever - heard 'kip' used as a verb. In Br English, if you wanted to use 'kip' (very informal) you'd say...
    thod00 got there first...
'I'm going to get some kip'.

According to Dictionary.com it's a verb. But maybe it's one that's not used very often.

(In the USA we also say "I'm going to get some sleep" or perhaps more often "I'm going to sleep".)
