| One of the biggest is our unclear pronunciation. Unless a vowel is in a key or stressed syllable, we simplify its quality -- we don't pronounce its full value -- and say /ə/ instead. This makes us hard to understand for non natives, and makes our words hard to pronounce correctly as well. Example: AE pronunciation of "international": [I nər næʃ ə nəl] |
