HELP with the usage of the word DEPRIVED!!!!!!!!

Can someone be deprived of an ability.

For example the ability to socialize or runnig quickly?

Please help Me as fast as you can!!!!!!!!!!

It would depend on the circumstances. I would not use deprived with the ability to run fast unless there was a reason like injury, not being allowed to run, etc. For someone with the opportunity to run who simply didn't have much natural ability, I wouldn't use it.

And on the other hand, if someone sprained an ankle, and was thus deprived of the opportunity to run in a charity race, that might make sense.
