What does "common ground, common sense" mean?
I am now trying to translate an essy on the US abortion policies.
In the essay, I have come across an expression "common-ground, common-sense" policies,
whose meaning I really don't understand.
Could anyone help me?
I'm so desperate for any help!
Re: What does "common ground, common sense" mean?
Common ground = area of agreement.
-We share a common ground on disco music. We both hate it.
Common sense = down-to-earth logic = simple reason.
-Avoiding tornadoes, volcano eruptions, and large, angry animals is just common sense.
In your context, it's about policies that people will agree on and that will actually work.
