Are these correct? If not, why? What do they mean?

1. Seasons Greetings.
2. Season Greetings. (If 'season' is wrong here, why? Isn't 'season' an adjective here?)

3. Seasons' Greetings.
4. Season's Greetings. (Why do I need to use an apostrophe for 'season'? #2 doesn't need it? What's the point of using an apostrophe here?)

Use 'Season's Greetings'. We put the apostrophe in because the greetings 'belong' to the Christmas period.

"Seasons Greetings" is a fixed term. You can interpret it as Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Kawanza .... Just disregard grammar. This is what is printed on the Christmas cards and it is really nice when you are not quite sure of your friends' and neighbours" religious tendencies. In short - politically correct wishes applied to the end of December.
