Can one say:

a. "They lose some of their clients every day."

It feels to me as if the sentence is telling us that the same clients are lost every day! That is obviously absurd. Shouldn't we say "They lose some clients every day." or "They lose some more clients every day."?


Can we say:

b. "Some people die every day."

Here I get the feeling that there is a group of people who die every day! Just as "Some people read the newspaper every day.", tells us that there is a group of people who read the newspaper every day.

Can we say:

c. "Important people die every day."

Again here, it seems to me that here the sentence is saying that all important people die every day! Just as "Important people look after their health.' tells us that they all look after their health.

To me a, b and c sound incorrect but on the other hand we say 'Accidents happen every day' and things like that. So, I am lost.
