there would have been no way ... I'd like to know the difference of 4 sentenses.
1, If it had not been for you, there is no way I would have been survived.
2, If it had not been for you, there was no way I would have been survived.
3, If it had not been for you, there would be no way I would have survived.
4, If it had not been for you, there would have been no way I would have been survived.

Teacher Re: there would have been no way ... For me, the list starts fine and as it moves down it gets heavier and doesn't add much.

Teacher Re: there would have been no way ... I missed it too, the first time I viewed this thread. Actually, 'survive' can appear in the passive-- 'the deceased is survived by a wife and fourteen children', but the agent ('wife etc') is certainly required when this verb is used in this voice.
Here in this context, in any case, the passive creates no logical meaning, Ibae.
