put weight OR gain weight?
Hi all,
Does anyone can tell me how to descript body weight?
If I want to tell someone I'm trying to increase my weight, which sentence is correct/better?
1) I'm trying to put weight on myself. My target is 5kgs more.
2) I'm trying to gain some weight. My target is to increase 5kgs.
Thanks in advance.

With minor changes, each works.
