In the first sentence, the period of time is indefinite. Otherwise, no diff.

whether I have worked for SBI
states I still work for SBI OR NOT

whereas second statement "I have worked in SBI for 15 years clearly states that i am still working in 15 years.

I just want to know in what context 1 statement is used -experience

Not quite. You worked there in the past and you are still working there now. How can you know that you will be working there tomorrow too?

This is more confusing that it should be. :)

I have worked for X -- This doesn't tell you when, but at some time in the past, you did work there. If someone said that to me, I would assume he no longer worked there; otherwise, he would have said "I work in X."

I have worked for X for 15 years -- This does tell me that you still work there, after 15 years.

    This is really interesting.
I need to be more on the ball than I feel at this time of night to respond, but look forward to chewing this over tomorrow.
