    There was no indefinite article in the given sentence, so the words to be inserted must include 'a'.
    They're such a nice family. (D)

    The first sentence is quite definite: "We are going the wrong way" - not 'could be' or 'might be' : we ARE going the wrong way.
    Hence, equally definitely, "We must be on the wrong bus."
    The answer is C.
