laying/installation of cables

Supply and laying/installation of cables for intercom system.

I think it should be 'laying', but I would like confirmation.

You lay them outside a building (in trenches which are then filled in, or perhaps they use some other technique when soil conditions allow it) and install them in a building. (I think there's a jargon word used by installers - maybe 'pull'???) but 'install' works for me.
