Has been or have been confusion ?

Hello Friends, pls check this sentence, in this sentence I was referring to some man,and using the plural "things". I wanna know which tense should I used after it(things): has been or have been ?

Sentence : But the fact that these things have been said by you substantiate the real truth. Or should it be like :

But the fact that these things has been said by you substantiate the real truth.

The first is better, though you don't need "real" before truth. The truth is always real.
