    Default BrE Vrs AmE

    Hello everybody,
Since the time I've been interested in the issues related to dielects and accents, I've repeatedly come up with the term Americanism for the British people...Is there kind of inclination towards American English? How proud are the British of their Lg? Why known professors such as Mr Jack Rechard have totally devoted to American English? I wonder when I see even the preface of the book written by this auther comes in American!

AE has greater influence these days, by far, except in Hong Kong and India. Due to popular culture, AE and its expressions are spreading everywhere, even in the UK.
