1) Is there a verb to describe the action that a person "tapping" or "jerking" his feet while he is sitting? 2) what about tapping his fingers on the desk (looks kind of like someone's playing a piano)? how do u describe such actions in a sentence?

Hola, Amigo-- (1) I am not sure of the action you are describing (and no specific word springs to mind in any case). Is this done with the upper leg when the legs are crossed at the knee? Or is it just rapid shuffling of the feet, with the feet on the floor? (2) I think what you are describing is 'drumming one's fingers'-- with the heel of the hand on the desk surface, each of the fingers is raised then tapped sharply in rapid succession?

Oh, sorry that I've made u confused, that's not what I tried to describe in the first question. I meant a guy with his left or right heal up in the air and only the toes touching the ground and lifting his feet up and down within an inch continuously.

I know what you mean, and I don't know a word for it, but I would call it 'drumming one's toes/feet', just as for the fingers.

i quite understan what you mean ,amigo.I would suggest for such movement" the verbs " joggle, flutter,or shake feet "since they describe short movements up and down.I hope that other members will correct me if i'm wrong.
