How to work out reading in class...
Hi,....Have you got any suggestions how to make a reading class more fun? Actually, we work on Select Reading, but it totally sounds boring to Ss since it mainly focuses on raeding skills...A bit odd, sorry, but any idea?

Pick something to read that is actually interesting!
Try a dirty novel.

Glad to hear it.
How about asking each student to bring in something they would like to share with the others in the class?

Thanks...So you reckon we could also work out reading skills on their texts too? But, as you know there's a lot to talk about the features included into paragraphs which ultimately lead to a total understanding of the texts, and unfortunately informal texts lack such features...I mean hardly ever have I got to persuade Ss to use their reading skills on their own texts, since they're not applicable to such texts...any suggestion please? Plus, I personally think highly of you, and thank you for your great hints!
