What is the proper use of this sentence, i believe or i believed
Well, I believe is present tense. That would be for something you believe now or always believe. For example:
I believe there is intelligent life on other planets.
I believed is past tense. That would be for something you believed in the past. In some cases, it may be something you don't believe now. For example:
When I was a kid, I believed that my Mom was the most beautiful woman in the world.
Of course I still do, but that's beside the point.
