Theres a french expression that says collet monté meaning when someone is quite straitlaced. Im looking for a expression in english that means about the same and I know the word tie is in it.

The closest thing I can come up with is collar-and-tie men, which is fairly self-explanatory. It's not that common in the States; it may be more closely associated with British English, but I don't know. Is that it?
