I believe it says ("self-reported integrity") that when asked to assess your own integrity, that women generally claim to have a higher standard of integrity than men.

The assesment question probably wouldn't be a direct, "How much integrity do you feel you have?" - it would be more like, "You've just found some money lying loose on a park bench. Would you report it to the police or try to find the owner if it were $1? $10? $1000? $10,000?" - and a woman might be more eager to say she would call the cops for a lower amount, for example.

Does it mean that they write some tests (personnel selection tests) and are these tests for the new employees of the given company?

Yss, as you thought originally, these are pre-hire tests, to determine if the candidate would be a good employee. The tests may assess their language skills, their math skills, their social skills [or "social graces" as would call them], and their integrity. You clearly do not want to hire someone who has no idea of right and wrong, yet the test will be so cleverly designed that someone who would claim they would chase after a police officer because they found a dollar on a park bench is either lying or otherwise manic, and not a good candidate for employment. In fact, the questions are much more clever than my crude example.

Can I say that integrity means ethics/righteousness?

Personal integrity is ethics.

Righteousness is word heavily weighted in negative connotations. Use with caution. To call someone self-righteous is an insult, for example. It is a word that, were I a foreign speaker, I would want to know the defintion of (as you do already), but would avoid using it at all, lest I offend.
