Default Question on Pitch

I am helping a Korean friend, lose his accent. We are working on Pitch and I am having trouble explaining pitch in my own words and understanding it in the dictionary when I look up a word.

for example: let's us the word Literacy.

The dictionary shows the word as: lit'eracy or lit'er e se

Where is the pitch when I read this in the dictionary?

Default Re: Question on Pitch

If by "pitch" you mean the stressed syllable, dictionaries usually indicate this by change of font>> [lit-er-uh-see]
