Default Does a college degree in English correspond to CELTA?

I am an English teacher, certified and all. I have a bachelor college degree in teaching and in English . I am thinking about teaching abroad. I have been reading a lot about the CELTA certificate. Do I need to get the CELTA certificate if I have a college degree in the area?

You shouldn't, but there's no standardization of qualifications so some might suggest you do the course. I'm afraid the answer will vary from country to country and between institutes. Do you have an idea of where you're interested in going?
